Background
Brigid Turner is a QEEG-Diplomate certified in brain mapping and holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychophysiology from Saybrook University.
Before founding Brain Insight Lab, she practiced law for 15 years after earning her JD from the University of Oregon School of Law. As a prosecutor handling domestic violence and child sexual abuse cases, she became deeply interested in the neurobiology of trauma and memory. She worked to educate juries about the effects of trauma on memory — including episodic and implicit memory — by calling expert witnesses and filing motions to allow this crucial evidence.
Here she is speaking out against Domestic Violence
Turner is also a former Division I collegiate soccer player at Utah State University and a semi-professional athlete with the Arizona Heatwave. These experiences shaped her passion for performance, resilience, and the mind-body connection.
Today, she integrates science, law, and lived experience to help clients overcome trauma, manage stress and ADHD, improve sleep, and achieve peak performance.

Personal Philosophy
My professional philosophy is grounded in compassion, curiosity, generosity, fairness, and wisdom. I believe in the innate capacity of every person to heal, grow, and thrive when provided with the right support, knowledge, and care. My purpose is to deepen my understanding of the mind-body connection and to share this knowledge with others in a way that empowers them to overcome trauma, achieve mental wellness, and reach their highest potential.
My practice is shaped by individuals who have modeled integrity and service: my father’s kindness and curiosity; Judge Karsten Rasmussen’s compassion; DDA Mary Anderson’s ethical rigor; Gary Williams’ fairness, humility, and humor; and the wisdom and mindfulness taught by Joseph Goldstein and Sam Harris (Goldstein, 2013; Harris, 2014). Their examples inspire me to approach clients with patience, respect, and unconditional positive regard.
In my work, I am committed to lifelong learning and professional excellence, upholding the highest standards of certification through BCIA and IQCB (BCIA, 2023; IQCB, 2023). I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I serve with humility, always seeking to listen more deeply, learn more fully, and guide others with integrity, mindfulness, and care. Through this work, I hope to contribute meaningfully to the healing and flourishing of others.
